This is a unique mix of vinyasa yoga and belly dance moves. It's perfect for anyone wanting to mix the masculine and feminine aspects. It's heavily vinyasa-based, with belly dance isolations included in the yoga poses.

It's ok if you don't know belly dance or aren't interested in taking a belly dance class. This class is meant to bring the sensual into yoga. But if you take belly dance classes, you'll get some things you can use to make your technique better.

This class is gentle enough for beginners, with options to make poses more challenging.  Vinyasa means linking the breath with the movement, so it becomes more of a moving meditation. No hands-on assists are provided.

Start to build body awareness and confidence.

Want to bring out your more sensual side? Need some body confidence? This class is perfect for you.

Fusion Belly Dance mixes the more traditional or cabaret style with FCBD® style belly dance. There is an emphasis on isolation of body movements and layering (putting those isolations together). Some may know this as Tribal Fusion.

This is a mixed-level class. We'll start with basic movements and eventually work up to creating little combos.

What to expect: This class is meant to be a fun movement class. If it's your first time moving in a while, it will be a little more difficult, but not impossible. You might get a little sweaty, but it's not a cardio-intense class like HIIT.

Wear something you are comfortable with. This can range from sweatpants and a t-shirt to leggings or a skirt and sports bra. Bring a water bottle, as the studio has only one drinking fountain. If you are a note-taker, bring your notebook and pen.

This class focuses on beginner movements but is for all levels. It's perfect for beginner belly dancers or more advanced students focusing on technique.

Learn sinuous movements and different foot patterns. We'll also focus on musicality and counting steps. This style doesn't use choreography, so if you find trying to remember long choreographies hard, this is the style for you.

Build body strength and confidence, and find community in a fun, musical way.

Why Take My Classes?

I have been belly dancing for 20 years and spent the last 10+ years learning the FCBD® style while learning fusion throughout. In addition, I have been teaching yoga for ten years.

My anatomy education and focus provide a unique learning experience for all things yoga and belly dance. Understanding the muscles and attachments to bones allows me to give better guidance when learning new moves.

I offer a non-judgemental space that is ideal for learning. Everyone is welcome! All classes are gender inclusive.

Attendance in my belly dance classes comes with a private Facebook group with extra material, including music playlists and videos, so that you can practice at home.
