Full Moon in Scorpio Ritual 2023

Updated: May 20, 2023

Since the full moon in Scorpio is also a lunar eclipse, I thought we could continue working on releasing what no longer serves. Last month it was forgiveness. This month, it’s finally letting go of something you no longer want in your life. It can be physical, emotional, or psychic. This ritual uses all the elements to help with this process.

Items you will need:

  • A piece of paper

  • A pen

  • A Cauldron or something to burn paper in

  • Sunflower oil

  • Water in a pitcher or bottle

  • Incense of your choosing

  • A lighter of some kind

First, take a piece of paper and write down what you are getting rid of. Don’t worry, no one should see it, and it will be burned at the end.

Starting in the South, drop the piece of paper in the cauldron and say:

This burden I lay down,

Fire will release.

Making room for what’s to come,

The smoke will bring me peace.

Moving to the West, take a small amount of water from the pitcher and “wash your hands,” saying:

I allow this water to cleanse me,

So I’m ready for something new.

Let the water hit the ground,

So I can make my debut.

Moving to the North, place a drop or two of the anointing oil on your third eye (or throat if you don’t want oil on your face). Say:

This fiery sunflower oil I use

To anoint my skin

Will give me energy

to manifest from within.

Moving to the East, take one of the incense sticks and light it. Allow it to burn for a few seconds, and then blow it out to release the smoke. Say:

The smoke from the incense

Represents elemental air.

I vow to let go

This, I swear.

Turn to the cauldron and light the paper(s) on fire, allow what no longer serves to release into the air, and allow the wind to carry it off.

If you do this ritual, let me know what you think in the comments.
