In what ways do you celebrate or acknowledge the release of winter's hold?
I love when it starts getting lighter in the mornings and when it's lighter after work. This year the winter has been much less harsh weather wise, but I still have missed the sunlight and being able to work in the yard and feel accomplished about some things.
Typically, I celebrate the winter solstice because it means the light will be returning. The celebration is often a ritual with other women to celebrate that returning of the light, and then personally being thankful for the turning of the wheel of the year.
Other than that, I don't do much celebration.
