Yule 2020 Ritual

Blessed Yule everyone! Here is your ritual if you care to partake. The information for conducting the ritual yourself follows below the video.




Items you might need:

5 different candles for the quarters and Spirit

2 candles for the God and Goddess

Something to light the candles

cakes and ale or juice (optional)

Any other ritual items you like to use


Ritual:

Face the East, say:

We call on the energies of the East. The element

of air, the keeper of new beginnings, dawn and

sunrise, the rise and fall of our own breath.

Hail and welcome, energies of the East.


Turn and face the South, say:

We call on the energies of the South. The element

of fire, the keeper of the mysteries, of Magic,

our spirit, passion, sensual energy and creativity.

Hail and welcome, energies of the South.


Turn and face the West, say:

We call on the energies of the West. The

element of water, the key component of our

blood, the ocean, our tears, rain and our life force

Hail and welcome, energies of the West.


Turn and face the North, say:

We call on the energies of the North. The element

of earth, our ancestors, the ancient ones, the

record keepers, the ground beneath our feet.

Hail and welcome, energies of the North.


Turn and face the Center, say:

We call on the energies of the Spirit. The element

of aether, the unknown and the wild, the inner life

essence, the special vitality.

Hail and welcome, energies of the Spirit.


Stay facing the Center, say:

We call on the energies of the God. The protector during

the darker nights of winter, the hunter who brings

sustenance to make it through the tougher times.

Hail and welcome, energies of the God.


Stay facing the Center, say:

We call on the energies of the Goddess. The life giver and

nurturer, the mother who keeps us warm during the colder

nights of winter, the supporter.

Hail and welcome, energies of the Goddess.


Pathworking:


I used the pathworking from Sabbats: A Witch's Approach to Living the Old Ways by Edain McCoy. It is in the Yule section and starts on page 78.


Face the Center, say:

We thank the energies of the Goddess. We are grateful for

your continued support and warmth this cold night.

Stay if you will, go if you must.

Hail and farewell energies of the Goddess.


Stay facing the Center, say:

We thank the energies of the God. We are grateful for

Your continued protection and sustenance this dark night.

Stay if you will, go if you must.

Hail and farewell energies of the God.


Stay facing the Center, say:

We thank the energies of the Spirit. We are grateful for

Your continued vigor in our lives, allowing us to get through the toughest of nights.

Stay if you will, go if you must.

Hail and farewell energies of the Spirit.

We thank the energies of the North. We are grateful for

Your continued grounding presence and support.

Stay if you will, go if you must.
